For me, bespoke jewellery is about capturing emotions and experiences in a timeless form, allowing each piece to reflect the uniqueness of the person who wears it. It's a privilege to create something that resonates so personally with someone, and that's what makes bespoke design so special. Tides of the Sea The ocean has long been a source of endless inspiration. In designing this ring, I wanted to capture the dynamic nature of water—the ebb and flow of the waves, the crashing of the surf, and the serene movement beneath the surface. While the sea is often associated with organic shapes, I wanted to express its form in a contemporary, more refined way.
"It's the heart of the sea, they say."
At the center of the design is a deep blue Sapphire, much like the ocean itself. Its rich, captivating color draws you into its mysterious depths, representing the heart of the sea and anchoring the entire design. Every curves on the ring is sculpted to capture the gentle form of a wave in motion. On one side, a cluster of diamonds is carefully arranged to mimic the delicate foam as the wave rises and falls. The stones are thoughtfully placed to reflect the soft, flowing nature of the sea as it meets the shore.
Across the band, I incorporate our subtle hairline texture to show the ever-changing movement of water. This 'flow' is further accentuated by the contrast between the textured surface and the polished sections, reflecting the serene, continuous movement of water as it glides along.
In its entirety, this ring serves as a harmonious representation of a wave. Though the design integrates dynamic, organic elements, it remains contemporary and timeless, making it perfect for everyday wear. As the light catches the facets of the stones, they shimmer like sunlight dancing on the surface of the ocean, bringing the energy and beauty of the sea to life.
